Question: What do you like most about our team culture at ScoutLogic?
Answer: What I like most about the team culture at ScoutLogic is the strong sense of community and openness. From day one, it’s clear that everyone is treated like family. There’s a genuine spirit of support, collaboration, and care. I also really appreciate the transparent communication across all levels of the organization. Whether it’s sharing feedback, solving problems, or celebrating wins, everyone’s voice matters.
Question: What makes you proud to work at ScoutLogic?
Answer: What makes me proud to work at ScoutLogic is knowing that every team member’s voice truly matters. It’s rare to find a company where ideas, feedback, and concerns are not just welcomed but genuinely valued—no matter your role or title. That kind of inclusion builds a culture where people feel empowered, respected, and motivated to bring their best every day.
Question: How does our team support each other in achieving goals?
Answer: The team supports each other by maintaining open communication, sharing knowledge freely, and stepping in when someone needs help. There’s a real sense of collaboration, and goals aren’t seen as individual wins, but team successes.
Question: What specific skills do you use to serve our clients well?
Answer: In my current role, I rely on a combination of analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management to deliver accurate and timely background checks. Maintaining high-quality work is essential in this industry, so I make sure every report meets our compliance and accuracy standards, with no shortcuts. At the same time, I’ve developed strong prioritization and workflow optimization skills to handle volume efficiently without sacrificing quality. I actively support my scouts by providing guidance, reviewing their work, and sharing best practices that help them improve both speed and accuracy.
Question: Can you give an example of a time when you went above and beyond for a client?
Answer: Yes, there was a situation where we had already verified a candidate’s employment through a trusted third-party vendor, and everything appeared complete. However, the client reached out afterward, asking if there were any employment dates prior to what had been verified. Although the original request had been fulfilled according to standard procedure, I understood the importance of the additional context for the client’s decision-making. To assist, I took the extra step of personally reaching out to the company’s HR department to attempt a direct reverification. I explained the client’s need and was able to confirm there were earlier employment dates that hadn’t been included in the initial verification. I updated the report accordingly and ensured it was delivered in a timely manner.
Question: How do you gather feedback from clients to improve our service?
Answer: I view client feedback as essential to maintaining high service standards. I gather feedback in a few ways, both directly and indirectly. First, I pay close attention to any follow-up questions or concerns clients raise about our reports. These often highlight opportunities for clearer communication, more thorough documentation, or process improvements.
Question: What do you find most rewarding about your role in the team?
Answer: What I find most rewarding is being in a position where I can directly contribute to both the quality of our work and the growth of our team. I take pride in ensuring our background checks are thorough, accurate, and compliant because I know how much our clients rely on us to make informed hiring decisions. At the same time, I really value the opportunity to support my team. Helping them improve their accuracy, manage their workload, and build confidence in their roles is incredibly fulfilling. It’s rewarding to see them succeed and know I played a part in that.
Question: What hobbies or activities do you enjoy in your free time?
Answer: I love spending time with my family. Watching a series from Netflix and, of course, sleeping.
Thank you very much, Nicole!
