The next interview in our background check services case study is with Rebecca Cooper, HR Manager, from Arhaus. Finding a great background check company plays an essential role in a company’s hiring processes, and Rebecca shares her experiences with ScoutLogic in this short video.

Arhaus was founded in 1986 with a passion for providing unique, high quality, well-designed home furnishings. Arhaus’s philosophy is to design their own products, searching for the best manufacturer while controlling quality, and bring the furniture directly to our customers. Their product developers travel the globe working directly with skilled artisans to craft pieces that can only be found at Arhaus, ensuring that every Arhaus piece meets our high-quality standards.

To deliver on this promise, Arhaus needs great talent for all parts of their operations.  Because of its business model, Arhaus has to recruit a wide range of talent.  From product specialists to retail associates, to warehouse employees, the HR team is continuously challenged to source a diverse candidate population.  Given the complexity of the business and high employee turnover, Arhaus needed a background screening partner that would help their recruiting and onboarding processes.

Before switching to ScoutLogic, Arhaus had many challenges with their prior background screening provider.  Reports turnaround time was extremely slow, with some reports taking up to four weeks to complete.  Those delays contributed to Arhaus losing valuable candidates. In addition to background check report speed, communication was very challenging.

Since making the change to ScoutLogic, reports have returned in hours, enabling Arhaus to have a much-improved candidate hire rate.  Additionally, by moving to an instant drug test solution with an online portal, drug test results return faster and with much more visibility into the process.  Finally, communication is dramatically improved.  When Arhaus needs an answer, ScoutLogic generally picks up the phone on the first ring or response within an hour, allowing Arhaus to focus their efforts on finding great talent for their company.

ScoutLogic is so grateful to Rebecca and Arhaus for the great partnership!
